Founding Front-End Engineer, Creative Tools 🛠️

About the role

This is a full-time, remote role. You will be working from our Sausalito studio and reporting to Zachary Stiggelbout, our Chief Technology Officer.

We are looking for an exceptional front-end software engineer to join our founding team. You will collaborate closely with our small team of designers, engineers, and machine learning specialists to craft a world class browser experience for our users. You will draw upon your creativity to architect and implement solutions to novel engineering problems. You will be empowering entire groups of people to manifest their own creative visions, and do things they never thought possible.

Essential qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, with an emphasis on building frontend web applications
• Fluency in TypeScript and React
• Experience architecting and delivering complex user interfaces
• Ability to self-start, own features, resolve ambiguities, deliver work end-to-end
• Passionate about new technology and desire to push the boundaries of what’s possible

Preferred qualifications

• Full-stack development skills, experience working with node.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and PostgresSQL
• Keen eye for excellent design and attention to detail
• Experience working with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, or Photoshop
• Experience working in Python with generative AI models
• Experience driving large-scale projects in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
