Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join Doccla as one of the first hires into our Data and Analytics team. This team will primarily work with Doccla's operations teams to translate data into actionable insight to improve patient care. This role offers huge opportunity for someone to make an impact, both on our patients and users and on Doccla as a business and team.

Requirements

Must have

• 4+ years in the Data space as an analyst, engineer, scientist, or equivalent
• Experience working with multiple commercial data warehouses, ETL tools, and data visualization tools
• Demonstrated experience leading 4 or more analytics projects from beginning to operationalization
• Clear communication on complex, technical topics
• Takes initiative, self starting and self managing

Nice to have

• Competence working with Java or Clojure
• Experience building and/or managing a data or engineering team
• Experience in an operationally focussed role, preferably in a start-up environment

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure an operationally focussed BI dashboarding / data visualisation tool 
• Design, implement, and own the data stack and warehouse that ultimately supports that dashboarding tool
• Carry out data analysis to provide operational and performance insights
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
• Establish and embody Doccla's DataOps practices as one of Doccla's first Data Hires

How you’ll ramp

• 30 days: set up 'quick and dirty' internal reporting with existing data sources and tools to (1) deliver immediate impact and (2) quickly learn through experience about Doccla and our data needs
• 60 days: work alongside internal partners (particularly from within the CTO organisation) to design and begin to build a fit for purpose data stack; during this period you will also support with scoping and building a fit for purpose data team
• 90 days: gather requirements on, scope, and execute projects with little support from more senior members of the team; own the data stack you have built and work to embed high functioning DataOps tools, processes, and culture
