About The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will work with our clients and specialist teams to consult and deliver mission-critical, deep technical solutions across the enterprise. You will adopt and shape our high-quality engineering practices, writing clean, testable code, and engage with agile practices to deliver business value through technology.

About You

More than any specific list of skills or qualifications, we want engineers who love technology, and contribute their opinions to drive through the entire development lifecycle. We want individuals who bring something unique, in technical knowledge, experience or mindset. If you think that’s you, regardless of how well you think you match the list below, please apply for this role.

  • Javascript (particularly React and ClojureScript)
  • Data visualisation (for example D3, Mapbox, charting libraries)
  • Clojure or interest in Clojure / Functional Programming
  • RDF, Linked Data, SPARQL and Graph Databases such as Stardog and Fuseki
  • Relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
  • Version control, Continuous Integration and Delivery (Git(hub), CircleCI)
  • Cloud computing (Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud) and monitoring (Honeycomb, Datadog, Pingdom, Pagerduty)
  • Code as infrastructure: Annsible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes
  • R and RStudio, Python.
  • Spatial data standards and tools (ArcGis, Geoserver etc).
