About Smart Transactions

Smart Transactions (stxn.io) was founded by Vlad Zamfir, Ethereum foundation researcher and Ethereum founding architect who engineered the proof of stake transition, with the mission to unlock programmability for transactions on Ethereum. We are the first to enable transaction automation on solidity which will unlock never before possible transaction capabilities across defi, protocols, wallets and smart contracts.

We raised our pre-seed round in the summer of 2023 and are launching our MVP in Q2 2024.

We are a small team of elite and hungry minds of all genders, ethnicities and backgrounds spanning blockchain, finance, tradfi and defi as well as AI, and social sciences. As we grow and expand our team, we measure our growth not by number of total employees but unique value and quality of only a few, hand-selected individuals. With an MVP launch on the horizon and a lot of exciting exposure heading our way in 2024, our senior leadership team is looking to hire a Community Engagement Lead.


This role requires confidence in self-management and intentional communication skills to make sure our remote team is at all times connected and aligned. Prior knowledge, curiosity and a strong interest in blockchain, Ethereum and particularly MEV are desired.


Key Responsibilities


Core Engagement areas

A) Engaging via educational materials/ developer relation docs for the community

  • Developer Community Building: Plan and implement community-building strategies via various local social channels and offline events to drive engagement and foster a sense of community among our users. Manage our discord and highlight technical questions/ issues to our devrel team
  • Direct Community Engagement: Hosting various community events, and continuously engaging directly with our community members.
  • Content Creation & Campaign Management: Design and manage marketing campaigns to expand user base and deepen market penetration. Lead, organize, and execute product launches and initiatives. Ensure thorough documentation, effective communication, and appeal to the right audiences
  • On the pulse: Conduct user, developer, and market research. Keep tabs on the Ethereum community landscape, crypto/blockchain/web3 trends, and industry developments

B) Engaging directly with community via Discord/ Twitter/ Socials:

  • GTM Strategy: Develop a comprehensive community engagement and marketing strategy that combines business goals, technical insights, and campaign schedules.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Oversee the resolution of community issues, concerns, and escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Metrics Tracking: tack community and market metrics across all engagement channels, including CRM, digital, social media to identify areas for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure product functionality meets customer needs and expectations.

C) Supporting stakeholder engagement operationally via project management:

  • PR & Project Coordination: Coordinate with PR partners and outlets, coordinate project tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure timely delivery of product enhancements and updates.
  • Continuous CX Improvement: Implement processes and initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of customer support operations. Analyze campaign performance metrics, adjust strategies according to results, and prepare regular performance reports to identify trends, and create opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner community coordination support: Manage the STXN dev/ solver program and coordinate collaboration between solvers and the STXN team.


Requirements

  • You have at least 3+ years of relevant experience (in a developer relations and/ or community manager rolw)
  • Your background is in either of the subjects of computer science, business development, blockchain or technical ops mgmt
  • You are comfortable in making decisions independently
  • You have strong leadership skills and a hands-on mentality
  • You have strong analytical skills and prioritisation
  • You are self-motivated and take a results-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Content creation experience, writing or curating educational content in various formats together with Marketing and/or subject matter experts.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating community events.
  • Crypto Native or a background in crypto, whether personal or professional.
