(Senior) Product Designer - USA

Who we’re looking for

Runna is the number one training platform for runners. Whether you're training for a 5k, 10k, half-marathon, marathon or ultra-marathon, Runna has a plan for you!

We are looking for talented, creative and positive team players to join our highly-skilled Cross-Functional Product and Engineering Team to help design new features for our iOS, Android and Apple watch applications and third-party integrations (Garmin, Strava, Coros, Suuntu etc). You will work closely with our founders, engineers, PM and most importantly customers to help shape the future of Runna who will be there to support you along this exciting journey.

Candidates need to have an understanding of the US market so either need be based in London and have experience working/living in the US or be based on the East Coast!

As a Product Designer your role will to be involved in the full end-to-end product delivery from research to going live:

• Working with the whole team as well as our amazing customers to discover and prioritise user’s needs across their journey
• Work with Product and create solutions/customer journeys for complex design problems
• Illustrate design ideas using user flows, prototypes and wireframes in Figma
• Conduct user testing sessions and incorporate feedback into your work
• Collaborate with developers to hand over designs and ensure great interaction
• Continue to iterate and develop our design library in Figma

Note: You will be working independently for much of your role (likely will expand team longer term) so need to be comfortable with autonomous working and owning all aspects of UX and UI from user research, to our Figma design system and component library.

What experience we’re looking for

Your key skills:

• 2-5 years experience as a UX/UI/Product designer including some experience with mobile design
• A design generalist; while you may have developed a specialism, you have a range of typography, layout and information visualisation skills
• Love speaking to users to understand their needs, in order to solve problems as effectively as possible
• Partnering with product and growth to leverage quantitative data to solve problems
• Obsess over small details that take designs to the next level (e.g., perfect pixel alignment, interaction, animations)
• Great Figma & prototyping skills (e.g. asset libraries)
• Confident working with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Confident facilitating and participating in workshops and discussions to promote the communication of ideas
• Have a public design portfolio/twitter

Bonus points if you:

• Have worked with consumer/start-up/mobile apps before
• Have worked with React Native teams before and understand the design implications
• Have worked on smartwatch interface design
• Have an interest or background in fitness, running or health
• Have spent hours reading case studies from https://growth.design/ 💌

Benefits and options

We offer a salary of $80,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience), plus equity of Runna stock options. We’ll also review your salary every 12 months and offer a generous holiday and healthcare package.
