Rust Game Developer

Taonga: the Island Farm is an adventure game on a tropical archipelago. Players travel between various islands, exploring them and taking part in adventures with fun stories and engaging game mechanics.

We love our game and are committed to its continued development. In line with this commitment we constantly keep updating and upgrading our technological stack. Our current strategical project is to transition the whole stack to Rust. We are looking for a frontend developer who will joins us in transitioning the client side of the game to Rust.

Our stack

• Our web-game is made on Haxe and is currently being rewritten to Rust with compilation into Wasm + WebGL.
• We use Bevy
• The game maintains a constant connection to the server and runs on client/server interactions.

Our ideal candidate

• Has a passion for games and made a conscious decision to develop them
• Has 3 or more years of work experience as a developer
• Is enthusiastic about Rust and can inspire others
• Has a strong preference for working in a team. Highly values finding solutions together in a team setting. Is able both to follow the leader and lead the team.
